Passing on the gift of music

I currently teach Whole Class Ensemble and woodwind for Artforms in Leeds, and previously worked as a flute and clarinet teacher for Nottingham Music Services. I have mainly taught Whole Class Ensemble sessions on flute, Bb clarinet, Eb clarinet, recorder and fife, and entry level lessons combining recorder, ukulele and tuned percussion.

I have experience teaching across Years 1 to 6 at Primary School and have also taught individual lessons on flute and an after school ukulele club at Secondary School. I also have experience of team teaching with a range of different instrumental teachers, and coaching woodwind at Area Bands.

I also work for Artforms at Rothwell Music Centre on Saturday mornings, where I teach a beginners’ flute / recorder class, a ukulele class and an intermediate level flute ensemble, open to people of all ages. Sessions take place weekly during term time, and the autumn and summer terms end with a performance by all the Rothwell music classes and groups. Please see the Rothwell Music Centre and Artforms websites for more information.

I have experience of leading and coaching saxophone groups of various sizes on summer schools and short courses, and am available for coaching saxophone ensembles on a regular or one-off basis. I have a wide knowledge of saxophone repertoire and a large library of saxophone quartet music, which offers the opportunity to try out new material and discover different styles of music.

I am also available for trial lessons, individual tuition and group tuition on flute, saxophone and recorder. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
