Enriching lives through music

If you are looking for some background music for a special event, you’ve come to the right place! A saxophone ensemble is the perfect choice for a wide range of social, corporate and charity occasions because of its wide range of music – everything from classical to pop, via jazz and world music – and the amazing sound of the blended saxophones. Please click to see the Function Music page.

Please see the events calendar for details of upcoming public performances. Most of my ensembles are available for concert performances, so if you are a concert promoter or interested in putting on a saxophone concert, please get in touch and we will try to help. Most of the groups are based in the north of England but will travel as required for the right occasion.

I teach flute, clarinet and saxophone at Roundhay School, whole class ensemble and woodwind for Artforms in Leeds and previously taught for Nottingham Music Service. I am available for individual or group tuition, trial lessons and ensemble coaching, specialising in saxophone quartet, saxophone ensemble and flute repertoire. If you’ve always wanted to learn the flute, or would like some external input into your saxophone quartet rehearsals, please click to visit the Teaching page.

I am available to dep on saxophone and flute for concerts and functions. I have depped for Yorkshire Wind Orchestra, National Saxophone Choir and Equinox sax ensemble as well as saxophone quartets in England and Scotland.

“Alison is a reliable and conscientious musician who is always happy to dep whenever availability allows. I can rely on Alison to be punctual, prepared and polite whether dates are arranged in advance or at short notice. In my experience Alison fulfils any commitments she makes and is a highly capable musician.”  Amanda Woodhouse – Yorkshire Wind Orchestra
